RoutineTracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-25

RoutineTracker is built around the idea that your routine data belongs to you. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

Device-first by default

Until you create an account, all your routines, tasks, and completions live only on your iPhone. We can't see them; they never leave your device.

If you create an account

We store: your email address, a hashed password, and a copy of your routines + completions to enable sync across devices. We never share or sell this data.

AI Coach

When you use the AI Coach, your chat messages are forwarded to OpenAI's API (gpt-4o-mini) so we can return a routine suggestion. We log a short audit summary on our server for cost monitoring and the user-visible AI Activity view. Raw chat content is not retained beyond the active session except for that audit summary. OpenAI's own data policy applies to messages we forward; see openai.com/privacy.

Advertising

RoutineTracker uses Google Mobile Ads to show a small banner in the Routines and Review tabs, unless you've purchased Remove Ads. The first time the app opens, iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency dialog where you can choose whether ads are personalized. If you decline, you'll still see ads — they just won't be tailored to you.

Analytics

We do not run third-party analytics or behavioral telemetry. Crash reports from Apple's default reporting are anonymous and aggregated.

Children

RoutineTracker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Your rights

You can delete your account, and with it all server-side data, by emailing support@routinetrackers.com from your account's email. Apple Subscriptions are managed in iOS Settings.
